Learn to Drive With Confidence

This series of CDs is the concept of a professional fully qualified UK Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor, with over 40 years’ experience, and a professional fully qualified hypnotherapist. Together with their combined experience and insider knowledge they have created this series of CDs to help you to drive with more confidence and ultimately obtain your full UK driving licence.

Although our primary aim was to help those who suffer from Driving Test Nerves, we have also added other therapeutic CDs to our series to help those who are experiencing other driving or learning related problems.

For example, there are therapeutic CDs for those who are experiencing problems with one or more of the required manoeuvres. Another therapeutic CD is available for Motorway Driving, and for Refresher Driving which is aimed for those who have not driven or only driven very little since passing their driving test. We have even created a therapeutic CD for those who suffer from Road Rage.

FAQs

Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness in which it is possible to communicate with the subconscious mind. You may be surprised to know that it is a very common state which everybody automatically drifts in and out of from time to time.

You know how it is when you get thoroughly lost in a film, or a good book, or a daydream. Your attention is completely captured and everyday reality fades into the background as your mind carries you away to a different world of the imagination. You are still conscious, but your consciousness is temporarily altered. Well believe it or not, that is a form of hypnosis, In fact we all go through a similar phase just before we go to sleep.

When you are being hypnotised, you are guided by this CD into this same kind of trance state somewhere between being asleep and being awake, And this is called a hypnotic trance. It is a very pleasant feeling of calmness and deep relaxation.

Contrary to popular belief, when you are hypnotised you are not asleep or unconscious. You will normally have your eyes closed, but you can still hear and feel and even speak. Indeed, your concentration and awareness actually become heightened.

Different people can experience hypnosis in slightly different ways. Some people may notice that they feel rather heavy, whilst others may feel light and ‘floaty.’ Often the closed eyelids can flutter a little here and there, or there may be a slight tingling sensation in various parts of the body. However some people experience nothing at all, other than a feeling of deep relaxation. The experience of hypnosis is a very personal thing, but basically, it is just a very calm and pleasant feeling – rather like being in a daydream.

The best way to use these CDs is to lay down and make sure your neck is supported and you are comfortable and not likely to be disturbed, use headphones if possible and just close your eyes and listen to my voice, as you do just start to imagine in your minds eye everything you hear, the more you do this the stronger the effect, sometimes people will fall asleep, sometimes they drift in and out of awareness and sometimes they hear every word that is said, But whichever category you fall into, it doesn’t matter, because your sub-conscious mind will hear everything and will use it for your benefit.

On the contrary, you need a reasonable amount of intelligence in order to be hypnotised. The people who respond best to hypnosis are those who are capable of concentration, imagination and mental dexterity.
Most people can be hypnotised. The exceptions are those who are mentally subnormal, young children, or those who are ‘high’ on drugs or alcohol. Everybody else (who properly co-operates with the process) can be hypnotised. Obviously, if somebody cannot understand what is required of them, or if they are resisting for some reason, they will have difficulty entering into hypnosis.

You cannot be harmed by listening to these CDs too much, in fact the more you use them the better the effects, you will probably only hear the first couple of minutes after the first time and fall asleep, this is when it is the most powerful, so just relax and enjoy the experience and let me guide you to your goals.

Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state, which you probably enter several times a day without realising it; for example, have you ever been so engrossed in a book, that you are unaware of anything else around you? Or perhaps watching a film, not realising that someone has entered the room? In this state you are relaxed, aware of what’s going on and in control. A hypnotherapist creates this natural state of deep relaxation where you are relaxed, aware and in total control at all times. Hypnosis is a safe therapeutic technique which is ages old and is recognised by many branches of orthodox medicine.

There is no such thing as a hypnotised feeling. Everyone will experience hypnosis slightly differently, but all describe it as comfortable and relaxing.

Almost anyone can be hypnotised but only if they want to be. It is impossible to hypnotise anybody without their co-operation. There is nothing magical or supernatural about hypnosis. Some people go into hypnosis more easily and deeply than others. Those who should not be hypnotised are people with psychiatric disorders, drug abusers, or people under the influence of alcohol.

Definitely not. If the hypnotist was to leave you during hypnosis, then you would gradually rouse yourself from the state or maybe even just fall to sleep, waking when you were ready. Remember, it is a perfectly natural state that you probably enter by yourself several times a day.

Hypnosis is centuries old and has been a recognised form of therapy, by the British Medical Council since the 1950’s. It is recognised by many branches of orthodox medicine as a valuable alternative to drug therapy and an assistance to healing. It is hard to imagine such a pleasant state could possible cause anyone harm.

Hypnotherapy is a combination of psychotherapy and hypnosis. Hypnosis alone is unlikely to affect any change in a person’s symptom or behaviour; it is merely a tool to allow a client to relax, focus and to become more open and receptive to change.

Whilst in the relaxed, receptive state of hypnosis, beneficial suggestions are made which are readily accepted by the sub-conscious mind. It is very effective with problems such as habits, confidence boosting, motivation, driving test nerves, some weight control problems and smoking cessation.

And finally, These CDs are produced by a qualified Hypnotherapist with over 8 years of practical experience. They will relax you and they will help to change your mind to a more positive way of looking at your driving skills for the future.

I suggest you use these when you have a quiet moment in your day or evening and just enjoy the relaxation that comes with them, The more you use the CDs the more effective they will be in building your confidence and new neural pathways of a positive nature.
